Many thanks to everyone in England who sent gifts. Posted by Picasa

Sleep....

Tuesnight was even better than Monday. Heidi is sleeping pretty good after a feed which means that Mom and Dad are getting some more sleep as well. Last night she slept for a 4 hour block at one point. Posted by Picasa

Day 4

Heidi had her first doctors appointment this morning. The doctor gave her an excellent bill of health. Once the appointment was over with she got busy with the important stuff: playing with toys.

Last night was a drastic improvement over the previous. She was much more content now that Sarah's milk has come in. I guess she is like her dad: only happy with a full stomach. Posted by Picasa

Rough Night

First night at home over.... World changed forever.

Sarah and I have had our first taste of what all parents must already know. Terry, Sue, Pete, and Diane: well done :) Please send any and all advise ASAP.

We were on rotation almost all night as Heidi is clearly on a different schedule than we are. She fed every two hours and cried most of the time between. At one point I think she actually reached inside of our chests and yanked out our hearts as we tried to console her.

We plan to send ear plugs to the neighbors today.

She is sleeping now at 9:00am and Sarah is fast asleep trying to catch up.

Welcome Heidi Isabel

Heidi Isabel Lindauer was born Friday May 26th and 9:45 am.
Sarah was amazing during labor.... (once she had her epidural). Post epidural, the delivery went very smoothly. We turned our lights off at 12:00am and actually slept through most of it. Waking up at 8:00 to find that Heidi was waiting for Sarah to push. 45 minutes later she was out and we began our new life together.
