Heidi spent her 4th of July party with her new friend Anna, the daughter of another American-British couple (Alison and Tom) who live just down the road.

Progress at the Condo

Sarah and I stopped by our condo last Thursday for a kitchen deisgn meeting and were pleased to find that our deck has been completed. It was a great feeling to see the deck looking so nice as it is the first part of our condo that is actually complete.

The rest of the condo is still looks like a construction zone. The wall are still just framing, but the workers have started to put in the heating duct work, electrical, and plumbing.

The siding has also been completed. Its vinyl, but we think it looks ok. 

Ben Wallace.. A Bull! Say its not so....!

Heidi reacts to the news that Ben Wallace has decided to leave the Detroit Pistons and sign with the Chicago Bulls.

Today is truely a dark day for the Lindauers. If Heidi had been a boy, we had even considered using the name Ben in tribute to my favorite Piston. My yahoo IM avatar is a picture of Ben Wallace... I had been looking for a Baby Ben Wallace jersey... All that must now change.

Worry not. We will get through this, though it will be difficult. I expect that I will recover faster than Heidi will as I can recall a time before Ben Wallace while she has spent her entire life as a fan.

I had evisioned a more cheery first 4th of July for my daughter, but we'll do our best to ignore the dark cloud hovering over our heads as we grill some hot dogs, drink some beer (milk) and await the fireworks.

One Happy Aunt

Aunt Beth came to town last weekend and spent some quality time looking after Miss Heidi.

Sarah and I got to escape for a whole 15 minutes one night for a 'mini date' to the local CVS.

For most the weekend we stayed in doors and Boston was once again drenched in never ending rain.
